Stacy Chubak Hinners focuses her practice on labor, employment and civil rights litigation on behalf of individuals and small businesses. She is one of the youngest attorneys to be recognized by the Ohio State Bar Association as a Certified Specialist in Labor and Employment Law - an honor held by only a small percentage of attorneys statewide. Ms. Hinners has been involved in all aspects of investigating, litigating and successfully resolving claims on behalf of clients in federal and state courts in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky against. She has tried over ten jury trials and argued before state and federal courts of appeals against some of the nation's largest corporations, the United States government and the State of Ohio. In 2008, Ms. Hinners successfully petitioned the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit to reverse a decision of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). She has also been intregal in advocating for individuals' internet privacy rights through class action litigation against government agencies and private businesses, including serving as lead co-counsel in class action litigaiton against the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs, the Ohio Secretary of State and the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts. Ms. Hinners also serves as outside counsel to the Ohio Department of Youth Services Legal Assistance Program. Prior to joining Mr. Mezibov's practice in 2004, Ms. Hinners served as Law Clerk to Judge John W. Kessler in Dayton, Ohio for three years. She also served as a hearing officer for Greene County Juvenile Court's innovative teen court program. Ms. Hinners is a graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law, where she was a member of the national Civil Rights Moot Court team and the school's Mock Trial team, where she was named "best overall advocate" at a regional competition. Ms. Hinners earned her bachelor's degree in political science, cum laude, from Ohio Wesleyan University, where she won several national sports writing awards for her work with college's sports information department.
